Hi Gill. This comment is related to an issue I am having at our church with the condensate return tank/tanks filling up when the boiler is and has been off all summer, and draining out the overflow pipe and out to the drain. We soften the steam boiler supply water and pump it into the boiler when called for. When I turn off the soft water supply valve to the boiler reservoir tank, the overflow dripping ceases. When I turn that valve back on, the reservoir starts dripping water again down the drain. It appears relatively simple in design, with some kind of float valve inside the reservoir. and 2 (redundancy) pumps to fill the boiler on a low water condition. It seems that the "float" valve would have been designed to initiate/control a call for water to fill the steam boiler only, and not a dual function to stop the water softener from filling the reservoir. Can you explain how the engineers would have accommodated for this - the need to control the water softener on condition? Our water softener is leaking water past/through the "float" valve and spilling into the overflow tube and down the drain. Ed Maurer - St Rose Catholic Church - Hastings, Mi (269) 838-1408
I wish to show my gratitude for your kind-heartedness for those people that actually need help on in this topic. Your real dedication to passing the solution all over has been extraordinarily helpful and have without exception empowered guys and women just like me to attain their objectives. This valuable report implies this much a person like me and even further to my office colleagues. Warm regards; from everyone of us. zehnder charleston radiator
